When shooting shape went out in a group with Sarah, kaya and fern, we shot in car parks, the town and shops within the town. For shape i wanted to focus on manipulation of shape and the way different angles construct different shapes.
In the first image i took a picture of a street lamp, the way in which i took this from this particular angle, it created a completely different shape all together, in this image the light appears circular and the pole supporting it is a long 3d cylinder, the point of view dramatically changes the image for example if this was taken straight on or from a distance the shape would look totally different.
In the 2nd image we decided to shoot the manipulation of shape in this image we took two shoes and constructed them to make another shape, we did this to show the versatility and change in the way changing the shape of construction just a little bit dramatically changes the shape giving a different perspective to the object.
Progression: in the future when shooting shape i would like to encompass more angles to show difference in shape, but apart from when i did that in my 1st picture i would like to have people in the shots to show off how angle also changes the shape of human form too.
In my 2nd shot i did use construction of objects to create new shapes however in this picture i really like how shape is made as the new shape sits in the sort of backdrop of the old shape, this is really effective in showing how colour attributes to the visuals of shape. I would like to encompass a similar idea and make something to really show off the manipulation of shape.
You are doing well but look for opportunities to use photographic terminologies for e.g. the top image "point of view" central composition, leading line, perspective... Grammar "i" needs correction.
