Pattern Work Diary

When shooting pattern I decided to take pictures in the college grounds and in Harlow town as I imagined there would be a lot of pattern in buildings and brickwork etc.
In this image i wanted to incorporate lots of types of patterns, as in this image there are vertically ascending brickwork, and diagonal brick work, and also vertically ascending bricks which are all different sizes, this shows off a large array of different types of patterns as some are irregular, regular vertical, diagonal etc.
I decided to take a picture of one of the college buildings, what caught my eye first of all is the fact that the colours on the building are in a reoccurring sequence, i thought this was an interesting pattern that you don't normally see in most buildings, also the shapes of all the windows are in a pattern.

Progression- when shooting pattern in the future i would like to shoot something that can be controlled and put up to make a pattern for example in this image all the chairs have been put up in this particular order, which essentially creates a pattern, i would therefore like to shoot pattern under a controlled setting.
I love this image as in nature, pattern is normally non-existent as most sequences in nature don't reoccur, this is why in the future i would like to find something natural like this image and find a pattern. Even though the pattern in this tree is not identical each time it is still a reoccurring sequence.
