Photo Manipulation Work Diary

When editing photo-manipulation I was relatively unexperienced, so i decided to pick something quite simple as to not overcomplicate the process on photoshop.
For my first image, when getting to grips with photoshop i wanted to assemble a image that was easy to make, and so i chose a moon and a yellow rubber duck to start, i cut around the duck and pasted it onto my other layer being the moon, this was rather easy and so i decided to leave it as it was and move on to something more challenging visually interesting.

for my second photo-manipulation image i decided to choose something political, so i searched google for pictures of David Cameron eating, i then inserted one into photoshop, then i searched up Pigs in blankets and then edited the food he was sting in the original picture with pigs in blankets. I think this makes for an interesting picture because of the political significance etc. However, parts of the image do look realistic and others really don't for example the plate that Cameron is eating poff of is the most bright part of the whole image and the pig in blanket that he is eating is a different size and colour to the ones on the plate, this therefore makes it look quite unrealistic.

For the progression I would like to shoot a certain picture preferably in the studio, so have an idea and an image that I want to use to show progress in future and show development and process from just taking a still and changing it into a composite image instead of just finding an image online and adding to it. As in this image you can see that the man has been shot in the studio with the intention of what this photographer new the image was going to become.

This image is great because, you can see the stages taken to create the final photo manipulated image, as there first image is clearly a non-edited image from a studio, then the second is clearly photoshopped and edited to create the effect of the woman's legs as robotic, showing process and creative intent is definitely something that i want to incorporate into my images.

  1. a good evaluation but there are numerous spelling and grammatical errors that need to be redressed, e.g. i and "Cameron is eating poff of is the most bright part of the whole image and the"
